On March 24th, 2008 The Permanent Representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in St Petersburg organized a meeting of the Diplomatic Club in the premises of Herzen University devoted to the 1st anniversary of St Petersburg School of Interpretation and Translation. Among the guests there were Deputy Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in the North-Western Federal District, General and Honorary Consuls to Saint-Petersburg, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, European Commission, United Nations Organization, the Government of Saint-Petersburg, as well as of business communities and the press.
On that day the School was open for guests. Rector of the Herzen University Gennady Bordovsky showed the guests overhauled rooms of the School fitted out with state-of-the-art equipment for interpretation and translation training.
During the solemn ceremony Vice-governor of St Petersburg Alla Manilova expressed general opinion of the guests saying that the foundation of the School was important for the city and the country and wishing its team and trainees success.

24 марта 2009 г. в помещении главного корпуса РГПУ им. А.И. Герцена прошла встреча Дипломатического клуба, организованная Представительством МИД России в Санкт-Петербурге и посвященная первой годовщине создания Санкт-Петербургской высшей школы перевода. На встрече присутствовали представитель Президента РФ в СЗФО, представители МИД России, ООН, КЕС, правительства Санкт-Петербурга, Генеральные и Почетные консулы Генеральных и Почетных консульств Санкт-Петербурга, а также представители деловых кругов, общественности и прессы.
В Школе в этот день двери были открыты для гостей. Ректор университета Г.А. Бордовский вместе с директором Школы И.С. Алексеевой провел экскурсию по прекрасно отремонтированным аудиториям школы, оснащенным новейшим оборудованием.
Во время торжественного заседания в Мариинском зале вице-губернатор Санкт-Петербурга А.Ю. Манилова выразила общее мнение собравшихся, отметив важность создания такой Школы для города и страны, и пожелала команде Школы и слушателям дальнейших успехов.
