St Petersburg School of Interpretation and Translation has launched a lectorial cycle titled “The Best to the Brightest” at the premises of the School. The cycle is aimed at acquainting trainees of the School with prominent scholars of the Herzen University and of St Petersburg, representing the cream of humanitarian knowledge.
The lectorial is regarded as open for all students and staff members of the University, provides a podium for inviting guests from other universities and international organizations.
On June 24, 2009 S.B. Smirnov, Vice-Rector for Education of the Herzen University delivered the first presentation of the cycle “St Petersburg as a crossroads of cultures”.

Санкт-Петербургская высшая школа перевода в рамках учебно-воспитательных мероприятий университета открывает проект “Авторская лекция”. Проект имеет своей целью знакомство слушателей школы с видными учеными Герценовского университета и Санкт-Петербурга, представляющими передовые рубежи гуманитарного знания.
Мероприятие  рассматривается как открытое для всех студентов и сотрудников Герценовского университета и предусматривает привлечение гостей из других вузов и международных организаций.
24 июня в Школе состоялась первая лекция этого цикла – “Петербург как перекресток культур” проректора по учебной и воспитательной работе РГПУ им. А.И. Герцена профессора С.Б. Смирнова.
