April 23rd, 2008 ‑ The Permanent Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in St. Petersburg organized a meeting of the Diplomatic Club in the premises of Herzen University to show support for the project and to provide publicity for the School. Among the guests there were General and Honorary Consuls to Saint-Petersburg, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, European Commission and United Nations Organization, as well as of the Government of Saint-Petersburg, business communities and press. In their speeches, participants at the meeting expressed their confidence that the School will both train many highly qualified Russian interpreters and translators, and promote ahigher status of the professions in Russia.

23 апреля 2008 в помещении главного корпуса РГПУ им. А.И. Герцена прошла встреча Дипломатического клуба, организуемая Представительством МИД России в Санкт-Петербурге, на которой состоялась презентация Санкт-Перербургской высшей школы перевода. На встрече присутствовали Генеральные и Почетные консулы Генеральных и Почетных консульств Санкт-Петербурга, представители МИД России и КЕС, а также правительства Санкт-Петербурга и Ленинградской области, деловых кругов, общественности, прессы. В своих выступлениях участники встречи выражали уверенность в том, что с появлением Школы не просто возрастет количество переводчиков с русской парой, но и значительно повысится уровень профессионализма в российском переводе вообще.
